Awards & Recognition

KATS has received awards from NODA South West for Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, Blood Brothers Sheila’s Island and 9 to 5 the Musical. in recent years.

We have been fortunate to receive financial grants from Kingsbridge Town Council, Kingsbridge Estuary Round Table and the Luscombe Trust – the latter in recognition of KATS support to KCC (Kingsbridge Community College) students.

OUR STORY

100 years young

KATS has been entertaining local audiences for over 100 years, with Trial by Jury as the ﬁrst production in 1901. Initially an operatic company, by the 21st century it had evolved into a multi talented theatrical company producing a musical each March and a play in September.

All performers and crew are members of the Society and as well as being part of the productions enjoy social get togethers during the year, usually a summer party, an autumn fundraising evening and mulled wine and mince pies in December.
